On Saturday, please take time to honor and help Bent Mountain Fire Chief Tim Worrell

Bent Mountain Fire Chief Tim Worrell needs your help.  A firefighter for 31 years, Worrell is battling esophageal cancer and the department is hosting a fundraiser and benefit bike ride Saturday, August 18.

Tim is a fellow member of the Roanoke Valley Harley Owners Group.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. at the Fire Station on U.S. 221 and first bike out at 11:30 a.m.

And remember that next weekend,  Floyd County Fire Department Station 1 is holding a Bike and Car Cruise at the Floyd Auto Fair on August 25.  Proceeds go to help the department.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. at the Auto Fair at Chantilly Farms on Franklin Pike with first bike out at 11 a.m.  Entry is a $10 minimum and food can be purchased from the vendors at the Auto Fair.

Call Chad Mills (540) 267-4578 or Nathan Miller at (540) 922-2484 if you need additional info.

Good times, good causes and good reason to put both on your calendar.
