The Floyd Radio Show, broadcast once-a-month over the Internet, returns for a second season at the Floyd Country Store Saturday after a summer hiatus.
However, videos of the show’s skits and musical numbers will not return. The show’s producers, Anna Roberts-Gevalt and Elisabeth LaPrelle, do not want video of the second season of the show made available to the public, either here on Blue Ridge Muse or on video sharing services like YouTube. That is, of course, their prerogative.
A video containing some of the music, skits and routines from the first season was available here earlier but has been pulled to comply with their wishes.
Although the show will be still played before a live audience we are told the cast feels video destroys the “ambiance” of the radio production.
The broadcast begins at 7:30 p.m. and those who can’t attend the actual show can listen over the web by going to the Floyd Country Store web site. Podcasts of routines from the show are also available on the web site.
