They call themselves Nuthun’ Common, a bluegrass group that is both traditional and non-traditional. When they play on the streets of Floyd on a Friday night you might hear well-known bluegrass numbers or a bluegrass style of “Peaceful Easy Feeling” from the Eagles or “Sounds of Silence” from Simon and Garfunkel. On this past Friday night, one of the songs was “Aime” from Pure Prairie League, which for obvious reasons is a favorite of my wife, Amy.
