Floyd’s first-Saturday-of-the-month Radio Show runs Saturday, March 1, staring at 7:30 p.m. at the Floyd Country Store.
Singer-songwriter Kat Mills and the Round Peak Ramblers will be the featured.
The Floyd Radio Show is an old-timey variety show with original comedy skits, stories, music and more, hosted by Elizabeth LaPrelle and Anna Roberts-Gevalt. Celebrating old time and traditional music. The next show is Saturday, March 1 at 7:30 pm with special guests Kat Mills and Adam McPeak and Mountain Thunder.
Kat Mills is a radiant, class-act songwriter showcasing the raw energy of a single voice and acoustic guitar. A powerful range, vintage instruments, and inspiring soulful material combine to produce a clean honest sound that leaves audiences wanting more. Reminiscent of another time, commenting on today, Kat is currently based out of Blacksburg, VA and tours throughout the east and beyond.
The Round Peak Ramblers were formed by Erika Godfrey and Mac Snow, who played together every week for years before starting a band. Their old-time sound reflects the Round Peak regional style, and is perfect for dancing!
