The Floyd Radio Show returns to its monthly, seasonal run through next Spring, providing music, skits, comedy and more at the County Store on the first Saturday of each month.
Hosts Elizabeth LaPrelle and Anna Roberts-Gevalt lead an ensemble cast of regulars and guests for the hour-long show that begins at 7:30 p.m. on stage and in a radio-cast on the web and an hour of music following the broadcast starting this Saturday and over next months.
The Friday Night Jamboree kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Friday with Janet Turner & Friends; No Grits, No Glory and the popular Jugbusters closing out the night.
At the Americana Afternoon starting at noon on Saturday, Bill Adams offers a tribute to Merle Travis and Chet Atkins, followed by Fred & Jon Benfield.
Dogtown Roadhouse offers Indian Run Stringband Friday night, Fort Vause on Saturday and open mike on Sunday.
Hubert Lawson & the Bluegrass Country Boys offer dancing music at the Wildwood Farms General Store on U.S. 221 near Midway starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.
On Sunday, starting at 2:00 p.m., the Chuck Wagon Gang, High Noon, the Comptons and the Hylton Sisters offer music and more for Joshua’s Hope at the Triple J. Palace Barn at 3418 Black Ridge Road in Floyd County.
And the Floyd County High School Buffaloes varsity football game kicks off its home season at 7 p.m. at the school field.
