Floyd County music fans are discovering that Saturday night can be as much fun as Friday.
Saturday night this week brought traditional Bluegrass music from Hot Rize to the Floyd County Store for two, not just one, shows that packed in the audiences.
Just down Locust Street, Sway Katz brought its big band music to Dogtown Roadhouse and tunes like “In the Mood” and “Mac the Knife” kept the hall rocking and the dance floor busy.
South on Floyd Highway (U.S. 221), a prime example of young music talent filled Wildwood Farms General Store with the sounds of Gravel Road.
This was just three examples of music in the county. Other venues like Oddfellas Cantina offered music into the night.
Shot a lot of video during the evening. Still editing so there is more to come.
A busy night indeed.
