The Floyd County Lady Buffaloes hoped to avenge an earlier season softball loss to the Carrol County Tuesday but a six-run explosion in the eighth inning by the undefeated Cavaliers broke a 0-0 tie that ran through the regulation seven innings ended that hope.

The 6-0 loss leaves the Lady Buffs at 2-3 in the young season.
