Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes meet Martinsville’s Lady Bulldogs Friday night for the Conference 38, 2A final after the Floyd ladies destroyed Giles 70-28 Thursday at the tournament semi-final at James River High School outside of Buchanan.

Floyd’s Michaela Thompson led scoring with 19 points.

The semi-final win Thursday gives the Lady Buffs a spot in the regional tournament that starts next week, no matter the outcome of the match Friday with Martinsville, which has won in two district matches against Floyd this year.
