Weekend: Community Market opens

Floyd's increasingly popular Community and Farmers Market opens its Spring, Summer and Fall run Saturday at 9 a.m. just in time for the weather to hit a cool spell with highs expected in the mid 50s with a chance of thunderstorms. The Floyd Radio Show wraps up the first part of its 2017 season Saturday night at The Floyd Country Store, hosted by old-time fiddlers Jesse Milnes & Emily Miller with guests Becky Hill & Kevin Chesser, The Downhill Strugglers and The Little River Missionary Baptist Church Choir.

The Floyd Radio Show wraps up the first part of its 2017 season Saturday night at The Floyd Country Store, hosted by old-time fiddlers Jesse Milnes & Emily Miller with guests Becky Hill & Kevin Chesser, The Downhill Strugglers and The Little River Missionary Baptist Church Choir.  The Internet radio show with a live audience starts at 7:30 p.m.

The first weekend of May also features the 16 Hands studio tour, theater on stage at the high school, a CD Party at Pine Tavern.

Lots of music, arts, theater and more for a Floyd County weekend.
