Nice day Monday with sun and great weather for those of us who like to ride on motorcycles or in convertibles.
If the National Weather Service is correct, that ends around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday when rain is, once again, forecasted to fall.
Our ground is soaked, creeks and rivers run heavy and additional rain or storms also bring flood warnings and threats.
Current forecasts call for afternoon showers from 1:45 to 5:00 pm Tuesday. Granted, the “chance of precipitation is 30-35 percent, but that often is enough to bring the wet stuff down.
Wednesday brings a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms, then a 50 percent chance on Friday and 90 percent chance of rain on Saturday.
Saturday is the day scheduled for the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department kids fishing day on Thunderstruck. Dry weather would be appreciated but Mother Nature seems to be in no mood to even be kind to kids.
Anyone know how to perform an anti-rain dance?
