Spring high school sports suspended for at least 2 weeks

Spring approaches and the sports of that season played scrimmages this week and were getting ready for the start of baseball, softball, track, tennis and soccer at Floyd County High School.

Then the coronavirus outbreak became a global pandemic and the Virginia HIgh School League suspended all spring sports until at least March 30 and Gov. Ralph Northam ordered all K-12 public schools in Virginia to close until at least March 27.

Had a chance to shoot photos of the Junior Varsity Lady Buffaloes softball squad at a scrimmage Wednesday against Grayson County at the FCHS field.
