Going to post past videos about Independence Day for the next three days of the Fourth of July weekend.
The videos were created at a time when our democracy was considered strong and we had independence to celebrate.
As the old cliches goes. That was then, this is now. Now we have a convicted felon in the White House, a con man and grifter who has raped and pillaged America and pulled in more than $2 billion in thefts from the U.S. Treasury and insider deals that benefitted him and his sons, not the nation he swore an oath to serve and protect.
Our American flag flies upside down, the international signal for distressed. In our opinion, we are a nation in distress, led by a convicted felon and sexual predator who is the most criminal leader in our nation’s history. The our flag went upside down in 2016, when he was, questionably elected to office.
Trump and his MAGA Maggots have turned America into a shameful nation where allies no longer respect or trust us, truth is a lost commodity and morality and decency took a hike. The video above, created in 2012, looks at an America hobbled by lingering memories of Vietnam, homeless veterans but still one that we could celebrate as a land of the free.
Not so now. We will not celebrate the Fourth of July this year. For the first time in y 78 years of life, I am ashamed of my homeland, a nation I have served, supported and loved. It is a shame that will continue until the traitor in the White House leaves office, is charged for his treasonous crimes and put way in a maximum security federal prison to rot and die.

Shame on Trump for making me long for the good old days of Richard Nixon. At least President Nixon had the grace to resign for the good of both himself and the nation. Unfortunately, for our country, the trump lump sees our nation as a cash cow, to be milked until it’s dry, then discarded when no longer producing money for his taking.
