A group with a lot of history, and a crowd favorite, The Whitetop Mountain Band. headlines The Friday Night Jamboree this weekend at The Floyd Country Store. The music and dancing kick off at 7:30 p.m. after the 6:30 p.m. gospel hour with Josh Blankenship.

Lots of other things to do this week. Schools also open on Wednesday so keep an eye out for school buses and students.

Tractor owners will be on display in the county’s annual tractor Fun Run. They gather at Arlie Thompson Farm,  2135 Christiansburg Pike, for a 10 a.m. start.

Two cruise-ins for vehicles and their owners, One on Saturday at Citizens Telephone’s offices on Webs Mill Road, starting at 4 p.m. and a second gathering at Wildwood Farms.

Small Town Thursday at Warren Lineberry Park on, of course, Thursday, features American Aquarium and the Deer Run Drifters.
