Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes varsity softball team broke its first round jinx in regional tournaments Tuesday with a 10-2 pasting of Chilhowie — advancing to round two. Chilhowie jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Lady Buffs responded by taking a 2-1 lead before their opponents tied it up.
