Of the thousands of photos and videos I have shot in and around Floyd County since returning to the area in 2004, most have been of the music culture with a focus on The Friday Nite Jamboree at the Floyd Country Store, an event with an international reputation with visitors from around the world.

I have not been able to shoot any new photos for a while because of multiple hospitalizations that have hobbled my mobility but heart surgery and a pacemaker give me hope to resume doing so next month. In the meantime, I have been able to work in my studio and I spend most days off my feet, writing here and for a website and going through my collection of photos and videos, updating some of them and working to produce new ones.

With Friday tomorrow, here is one of from the archives. Came across his one, where The County Connection played bluegrass version of “The Letter,” a 1967 rock hit by The Box Tops.
